How to Send Photos to Friends

Sending photos to friends remains a great way to let your friends know about the noteworthy events that have been taking place in your life. Due to the various technologies that people now have access to, sending pictures to your friends is easier than ever. While some people prefer to send pictures electronically through email or text message, others prefer old school methods, such as sending a picture in a letter. Although each method will get the job done, use your best judgment to ensure your friends successfully receives your photo.

Step 1

Connect your digital camera to your computer using the camera's corresponding USB cord. Click on the icon that pops up on your screen to pull up your camera's pictures. Place the cursor over each picture you want to send to your friends and click the picture to highlight it.

Step 2

Click the "File" tab and scroll down to the Save option to save your pictures into your My Pictures folder. Click the "Start" tab at the bottom left hand side of your screen and highlight the "My Pictures" folder. Right-click on the photo file you wish to send to your friend.

Step 3

Select the "Send To" option. Choose the "Mail Recipient" option. Click "OK" to keep your pictures in the original size and pull up a blank email with your photo attached inside. Type in your friend's email address into the To: option. Write a message in the body of the email if you would like to attach a note with your photo. Click the "Send" option to electronically send your friend a picture through email.

Step 4

Select the "Message" option in your cell phone. Choose the "New Message" option. Select the "Picture Message" option. Insert your friend's cell phone number into the To: box using your keypad. Select the photo you wish to send and click "OK" to attach it in the text message. Write an appropriate note in the body of the text with your keypad. Click send to electronically send your photo in a text message.
