Natural Facelift Exercises

When you first meet someone, more often than not, you make eye contact and look at her face, and she looks at yours. Both of your faces are composed of the same material and they function the same way. There is skin on the exterior layer that is directly attached to muscles underneath. Over the course of time, when the muscles in the face lose their tone, your skin can sag. Natural facelift exercises can be utilized as a treatment to combat the sagging.

Function

In addition to sagging over the years, the skin of the face can also develop wrinkles. This often leads people to get surgery to lift the face and give it a more youthful appearance. These surgeries come with risks and they can be very expensive. Natural facelift exercises are done to tighten the skin and make it more elastic. Not only are they free, but they are also safe.

Features

The actual facelift exercises involve the movement of the lips, cheeks and skin on the face. Contractions are held for a given amount of time and then released. These are called "isometric." They can be done any time of day in any location, but it is best to do them when you are by yourself as your face will be contorted.

Chewing

The neck and throat area can not only sag, but develop a double chin, as well. An exercise to work this area is a chin lift with head tilt. To do this, look forward then lift your head up so you are now looking at the ceiling. Jut your chin forward and make a chewing motion with your lower teeth going over your upper teeth. Feel the stretch that is going on in your throat area. Do this for 30 seconds and release.

Facial Stretch

A facial stretch exercise can be done from a seated or standing position. Open your mouth and eyes as wide as you can. While you do this, stick your tongue out as far as you can. Hold for 20 to 30 seconds and release.

Cheeks

The cheek muscles can be worked with an exercise that involves air. Close your mouth and clinch your teeth together. Push air into your bottom lip as hard as you can and hold it for 10 seconds. Move the air to your upper lip, your left check and your right cheek all for 10 seconds each. Then push air into your whole mouth and hold it there for 10 seconds.
