How to Get Rid of Facial Hair on Teenage Girls

Struggling with facial hair growth can be emotionally devastating for a teenage girl. Though the cause of a teen's facial hair growth is likely hormonal in nature and will subside as she grows older, many teens wish to get rid of their facial hair right away. According to the book "Milady's Standard: Fundamentals for Estheticians," waxing is one of the safest and quickest ways to remove unwanted facial hair.

Cleanse your face to remove any dirt, oil or make up. Gently pat your face dry with a towel after cleansing to remove any water.

Apply a thin layer of baby powder to your face. According to "Clinical Cosmetology," the baby powder to prevent the wax from adhering directly to your skin and damaging it.

Place the wax in a bowl and heat it in the microwave for six to 10 seconds, or for the amount of time specified in the instructions.

Apply a small amount of wax with the waxing stick to the lowest part of your face where the unwanted hair that you want to remove is located.

Press a waxing strip over the wax firmly. Hold your skin taut with one hand and quickly rip off the waxing strip in the opposite direction of the hair growth with the other.

Continue to wax the remaining areas of the face where there is unwanted hair, working your way from your chin to your forehead.
