So you made a commitment to yourself to lose weight and get healthy, but when you look down you still have a little fat in the tummy area. That is because the solution to shedding the last bit of belly fat lies in your kitchen--not in the gym. Change some of your habits outside the gym, and watch that belly flatten out.
Step 1
Eat all natural foods. Consume foods in their natural form, like whole grain breads and pastas, fruits, vegetables, lean meats, eggs and fish to nourish your muscles and keep you fuller longer. Avoid packaged and processed foods that are high in sodium, which causes bloating.
Step 2
Limit your dairy consumption. The sugars in dairy foods are difficult to digest and cause bloating.
Step 3
Avoid alcohol. Drinks like vodka and cranberry juice can hold 230 calories. Consuming a few of these on a daily basis can result in a 1 lb. weight gain weekly.
Step 4
Drink more water. Consume one gallon of water per day to minimize bloating and water retention caused by high sodium diets and dehydration.
