Respironics Total Face Mask Review

The Total Face Mask from Respironics is designed to be used with a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device. It is utilized by patients with obstructive sleep apnea to provide a gentle flow of air so that their airways will not collapse during sleep.

Features

The product features a clear mask, which may help those with claustrophobia issues. The mask completely covers the face, reducing the risk of pressure points, which can become skin lesions. It has a quick tube release, which lets the user easily remove the tubes from the mask.

Cushioning

The CPAP Review states that the Total Face Mask offers more cushioning support than other similar products. The FitPack version of the mask comes with three cushions, which lets users choose the one with the best fit.

Exhalation Ports

The Respironics Total Face Mask has exhalation ports that blow air to the side. Some users report having problems with leaking around the bridge of their nose, which may be connected to the air leaking through these ports.
