Donate bowling balls to thrift stores or post them on sites such as eBay or Freecycle. Check the collection policies for thrift shops to make sure they will accept bowling balls. If you decide to post the ball online, allow for higher shipping costs due to the weight of the ball.
Step 3
Advertise damaged balls in the classified ads or online sites. Balls that are cracked or broken may not be suitable for bowling, but you may find someone looking for a ball to use for an art or craft project.
Step 4
Check with your trash disposal service if you decide to throw away the ball. Some trash collection companies will not pick up large items like bowling balls at the curb. You may have to bring the ball directly to the garbage dump yourself to dispose of it. Depending on the bowling ball material, your waste management company may be able to recycle it.
