Falling in the economy elliptical category, it isn't built for the serious fitness buff but is a reasonable option for light use. However, other elliptical brands that market less expensive models with comparable features and longer warranties.

While the NordicTrack CX 1000 Space Saver Elliptical is manufacturer by Icon Health and Fitness, one of the larges producers of fitness equipment, Exercise Equipment Experts indicates its minimal one-year warranty indicates a lack of quality and recommends purchasing the extended warranty with this model.
