Englishman Cyrus Harvey founded Crabtree & Evelyn in 1972 as a small business specializing in fine soaps. The company expanded throughout the years to produce fragrances, skin-care products, gourmet foods and gifts. They offer seven hand-therapy creams, with individualized scents, in two different formulas.

Shea Butter Formula

Key ingredients in the shea butter formula include yarrow, calendula and clover extracts to soothe, condition and moisturize the skin. Gardeners, La Source, Lavender, Rosewater, Summer Hill and Nantucket Briar Hand Therapy Creams all contain this formula.

Shea Butter with Ceramides Formula

Citron, Honey & Coriander Hand Therapy Cream employs a different formula. Besides shea butter, it incorporates macadamia nut oil for moisturizing, hyaluronic acid for hydration, myrrh extract to condition nails and cuticles, ceramides 3 and 6 II for moisture retention and lemon, coriander and honey extracts.

Sizes and Cost

Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy Creams come in 8.8-oz. pump bottles for $25, except for the Rosewater and Nantucket Briar versions. The creams are also offered in 3.4- or 3.5-oz. tubes for $15. You can find purse-size 1.7- or 1.8-oz. tubes for Gardeners, La Source, Citron, Honey & Coriander, Lavender and Rosewater Hand Therapy Creams for $10.
