Cellulite results from fat deposits below the surface of the skin and commonly occurs in the arms, butt and thighs. Working out does not get rid of cellulite, but it can reduce the orange peel appearance in the skin, notes the Mayo Clinic. Strength training and cardiovascular exercise at least three days a week helps to decrease body fat and minimize the appearance of cellulite.

Step 1

Perform pull-ups to tone back muscles. Stand on a bench to reach the pull-up bar. Hold the bar with a close grip and hang with your feet crossed behind you. Exhale and pull your chin up to the bar. Inhale and lower your body back down to the starting position. Repeat for four sets of 10. If you cannot perform a pull-up, have a friend spot you by holding your feet.

Step 2

Do push-ups to tighten up your chest and arms. Start on your hands and knees. Press up so that your weight is distributed between your hands and your toes. Inhale and lower your chest toward the floor and pause for one second. Exhale and push back up to the starting position. Repeat for four sets of 15 repetitions.

Step 3

Do prisoner squats to develop muscles in your legs and butt. Start with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms straight in front of you. Inhale and sit your hips back until your knees are at a 90-degree angle. Exhale and press up to the starting position, while keeping your weight on your heels. Repeat for four sets of 25 repetitions.

Step 4

Perform hip thrusts to tighten hamstring and butt muscles. Lie on your back with knees bent and hands at your sides. Exhale and lift your hips off the ground while squeezing your butt muscles. Inhale and lower your hips back to the starting position. Do not let your hips completely rest on the ground. Repeat for four sets of 25 repetitions.

Step 5

Train using high-intensity interval cardio three times a week to help burn fat. Walk on the treadmill for two minutes and run for 30 seconds; repeat for 30 minutes.
