The appearance of dimpled skin, or cellulite, is common in the arms, midsection and legs. While you can't get rid of cellulite, you can decrease its appearance by losing fat. The fat-burning equation has two parts--building muscle and burning fat. Think of muscle as your furnace; you must use cardio to fire up your furnace to burn fat. Mix clean eating with a circuit training program to quickly build muscle and burn fat at the same time.
Step 1
Consume small meals frequently. Eat every three to four hours to nourish your muscles and boost your metabolism. Digesting food burns calories, so eating often increases your metabolism, even at rest.
Step 2
Fuel your workouts with natural foods. Eat clean or unprocessed foods, such as low-fat dairy, whole grains, lean meats, fruits, vegetables and healthy fats to improve your workouts and keep you fuller longer. Eliminate processed foods high in sodium, sugar and fat to prevent weight gain.
Step 3
Perform circuit training three to four times a week to increase results and shorten your workout time--this will improve your muscular and cardiovascular strength simultaneously. Perform one exercise per body part for 20 repetitions, followed by one minute of cardio, such as jumping jacks or walking on a treadmill. Repeat the circuit for 30 minutes. Expect to burn 500 to 600 calories in one workout, according to Bodybuilding.com.
