Bird lovers delight at the sights and sounds of the Birdcraft Museum in Fairfield. As part of the Connecticut Audubon Society, the private bird sanctuary established in 1914 by Mabel Osgood Wright (Connecticut Audubon leader) affords a walk across the Teaching Bridge and Birdcraft Pond. A National Historic Landmark, Birdcraft lets visitors leave the bustle of the modern age behind.
SoNo Activities
South Norwalk, or trendy SoNo, offers sea-loving visitors the opportunity to explore the Maritime Aquarium. See the "Africa: From Desert to Sea" exhibit through February 2012.
