Being retired today often means being more active than ever--and that's especially true if you live near the Rocky Mountains. With its many scenic vistas, Colorado is a breathtakingly beautiful state that offers many sports and activities to keep you active and healthy. Staying active and keeping your mental health sharp is an important part of your overall well-being.

Aspen Senior Center

In the city of Aspen is the Seniors Activities Center. Members of this center are active and fun-loving people. Senior centers provide a good resource for making friends, fellowship, and just having fun. Activities include overnight trips throughout Colorado, a book club, knitting, and games like poker and bridge. Staying physically active is necessary for good health. Classes for staying physically fit include yoga, balance, and general exercise for arthritis, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.
