Creating tight and well-defined legs requires building muscle and burning fat. Resistance training will help develop muscles and tighten loose skin all over your body. To lose the fat on top of the muscles, you need to follow a clean eating program and perform cardiovascular exercise. Making healthy changes in your daily habits will help you develop leaner and tighter legs.

Step 1

Train with weights three days per week. Perform total body circuits that work every muscle group and keep your heart rate elevated to build muscle and burn fat. You cannot spot reduce fat, but decreasing your total body fat percentage will give your physique a leaner look. Train one exercise per muscle group, and perform 30 seconds to one minute of cardiovascular exercise like jumping rope after every exercise. Lift heavy for four sets of 12 repetitions.

Step 2

Adopt clean eating habits. Eat whole foods in their natural state like lean meats, low-fat dairy, eggs, fruits, vegetables and whole grains that help decrease your daily calorie intake and increase energy levels.

Step 3

Add multi-joint or compound exercises in every strength training workout to help build leg muscles. Perform squats and lunges that work every muscle in the legs. Execute with heavy weights for the best results. Do not compromise form in an attempt to lift too heavy.
