According to a September 2006 research study published in the "Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology," 24 percent of a national sample of 500 people had tattoos. The wrist is one area of the body that people get tattooed. Sometimes, you may wish to hide your wrist tattoo, perhaps for a social event or if your job requires it.

Step 1

Wear a long-sleeved shirt. This is a common method of disguising tattoos on the wrist, according to the University of Connecticut, and also helps to hide tattoos on your arm.

Step 2

Strap on a wide watch or bracelet if you don't want to wear a long-sleeved shirt. Many manufacturers offer such accessories with wide bands. Just make sure the width of the strap is enough to cover the tattoo on your wrist. Tighten the strap so that the accessory doesn't move up or down your wrist and reveal the tattoo.

Step 3

Apply makeup if you don't want to wear a long-sleeved shirt or jewelry. Makeup artist Mary Burton, writing for "Cosmopolitan" magazine, recommends applying a thick, heavy concealer that matches your skin. Smooth it on over your wrist tattoo, then cover it with foundation and a translucent powder to set it.

Things You'll Need
