There are many weight loss programs out there. Some have pre-packaged food, some are full of healthy food choices, and some are based on liquids. The key is to find one that you like and one that works for you. Exercise and proper rest will help you lose even more weight. Don't forget to consult your doctor before starting any weight loss program.

Weight Watchers

Weight Watchers has been around for 45 years. It offers an online program or in-person meetings, or a combination of both. Weight Watchers is a weight loss program based on eating everything in moderation and using a points system. It stresses portion control, eating real food from all food groups, exercise and support. There is a cost to join and a fee for the meetings.

Jenny Craig

Jenny Craig is the weight-loss program used by actress Valerie Bertinelli. You can get weighed in at a local center or do an at-home program. This weight loss program is based on its packaged foods and snacks, plus some real food. It offers one-on-one support. It does cost money to join and there are extra costs for the food.

Nutrisystem

Nutrisystem is also based on pre-packaged foods combined with some real food. You can choose from a 28-day menu or a pre-selected food package. This weight loss program stresses convenience, as the food is delivered to your home. According to its Web site you will eat often to help to prevent cravings, and you will also learn portion control.

The Eat-Clean Diet

The Eat Clean Diet, by Tosca Reno, is a weight loss program that stresses fresh, whole foods and exercise. Participants don't have to count calories or give up any food groups. On this weight loss program, you'll eat "clean" foods frequently throughout the day. Clean foods are fruit and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein and low-fat dairy. There are no costs involved other than purchasing books.

Medifast

Medifast is a weight loss program that has been recommended by doctors for their obese patients. Its 5 & 1 Plan is based on five meals of pre-packaged foods and one "lean and green" meal, which consists of lean protein and vegetables. This program offers support, too. There is a cost for this weight loss program. According to the website, you can choose from 70 different food options, including "shakes, soups, stew, chili, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, fruit drinks, iced teas, hot drinks, bars and puddings."
