The Ab Roller supports your head and neck while you do crunches at home. The device is small, light, portable and budget friendly, making it a popular addition to a home gym. For August 2010, the current Wal-Mart Ab Roller models are priced around $20 and feature a Pro Assist Spring. When you crunch up, the spring provides a small boost, helping you perform the exercise. Once your core becomes stronger, you can remove the spring.

Step 1

Attach the two side bars to the overhead support bar with the two short screws provided. Tighten both screws using the included Allen wrench.

Step 2

Use two long screws to attach the head rest pad to the lower bar. Tighten the screws with the Allen wrench.

Step 3

Attach the lower bar into the side bars from step one. Use two short screws and tighten both with the Allen wrench.

Step 4

Place the nylon cover over the Pro Assist spring. Make sure the small opening of the spring is at the top. Press the protective cap over the bottom end of the nylon cover and spring. Attach the Pro Assist to the head pad with a short screw.

Tips and Warnings
