With obesity so prevalent, even the tea manufacturers have jumped on the weight loss bandwagon. Wu-Yi Tea even offers a specific packaging for the dieting consumer.

History

Oolong tea, the main ingredient in Wu-Yi Tea for Weight Loss, comes out of a centuries old Asian heritage. With the stereotypical image of the thin Asian, oolong tea offers a marketing promise based on the traditional hot beverage. As of 2010, this diet-oriented tea sells only online.

Diet

Wu-Yi Tea for Weight Loss offers recommendations for better eating habits and exercise. The recommendations stress the importance of drinking eight 8-oz. glasses of water each day. Odds are that making changes in eating habits and exercise are more responsible for any weight loss than the tea.

Research

No clinical studies on Wu-Yi tea or oolong tea have been conducted as of 2010. Whether the tea truly assists with losing weight remains scientifically unverified. For a tea drinker, perhaps healthy suggestions will encourage the change in exercise and eating habits to lead to a healthier weight and lifestyle.
