Adding fat-burning foods to your diet is a simple, easy and effective way to enhance your weight loss ability. Whether you cook meals or eat out, the only thing you need to do to burn extra calories is add or order the correct side dish to supplement your main meal. Fat melting foods can be purchased at most restaurants and are available almost everywhere, which makes eating them one of the easiest ways to maintain consistent weight loss without drastic lifestyle changes.

Step 1

Eat for breakfast at least 300 calories of milk and a whole-grain cereal such as Kashi, oatmeal or granola. Milk is rich in calcium and naturally spikes your metabolism. Whole-grain foods contain complex carbohydrates and are high in fiber, which will provide you with energy for hours and help you feel more satisfied.

Step 2

Build your meals with 30 g of protein from seafood or lean meats. Seafood and freshwater fish contain high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, which according to Michael and Mary Eades, authors of "The Protein Power Lifeplan," are responsible for balancing a hormone called leptin. Leptin is responsible for monitoring fat storage, metabolism and appetite, and can help dramatically reduce your body fat when you get enough. Lean meats are loaded with protein, which requires more energy to digest and makes you feel full.

Step 3

Spice up your meals with chili peppers. Spicy foods contain capsaicin, a chemical that increases your internal temperature and can help boost your body's fat-burning ability by up to 25 percent.

Step 4

Drink coffee and green tea with your morning and afternoon meals. Coffee is rich in caffeine, a chemical that increases your metabolism by boosting your heart rate and oxygen use. Green tea is full of epigallocatechin gallate, which authors Michael and Mary Eades say helps burns fat by increasing the activity of your nervous system and brain.
