People who are plagued with blackheads know that the visibly clogged pores make skin care a puzzle. They typically appear on sensitive, oily and acne-prone skin, so formulas with multiple ingredients can make breakouts worse. It is best to deal with the issue directly, using natural products that won't anger your skin even more. Step away from the bathroom cabinet and look to the kitchen instead for a weekly mask and spot treatment that will solve your blackhead woes.

Step 1

Moisten your skin with warm water.

Step 2

Work a dime-sized amount of tea tree oil face wash into your skin, using an upward circular motion. Tea tree oil-based soaps are available in both bar and liquid form and help to naturally cleanse the skin without over drying it.

Step 3

Gently pat your skin dry. Use a fresh paper towel sheet instead of a towel. It is bacteria free and won't irritate your skin further.

Step 4

Pour 1 teaspoon of orange juice into a bowl. Use freshly squeezed juice if possible.

Step 5

Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda to the bowl.

Step 6

Use a spoon to mix the ingredients together until they form a paste.

Step 7

Tie your hair back tightly to keep it off your face. If you have short hair, use a hairband to pull it back.

Step 8

Apply one layer of the mask to your face. Add an extra layer to any blackheads or breakout prone areas.

Step 9

Allow the mask to set for 20 minutes.

Step 10

Run your fingertips under warm water and gently massage the area covered by the mask. This will exfoliate to bring blackheads to the surface while removing dead skin.

Step 11

Rinse the mask from your face using warm water.

Step 12

Dampen a clean cotton cloth and use it to remove any difficult-to-remove pieces of the mask. This provides extra exfoliation in the process.

Step 13

Rinse your face with warm water and pat it dry with a paper towel.

Step 14

Pat a dime-sized-amount of lightweight noncomedogenic moisturizer onto your skin. Oily skin needs to be hydrated to prevent it from overproducing oil on its own, which leads to breakouts.
