If you spend countless hours trying to pop, scrape, or extract blackheads from your face, try using an all-natural remedy instead – green tea. High in antioxidants, green tea not only reduces oils and inflammation on the skin, but also helps to protect it from future damage. So next time you find tiny black clogged pores covering your face, brew up some green tea to help banish the blackheads for good.

Step 1

Fill a saucepan with 1 cup of water. Place on the stove and bring to a boil.

Step 2

Remove the pan from the stove. Place 2 green tea bags into the water and let steep for 1 hour.

Step 3

Transfer the tea to a glass. Place the glass in the refrigerator and chill for 2 hours.

Step 4

Wash your face with a gentle face wash or cleanser. Rinse well and pat your face dry with a soft towel.

Step 5

Wet a cotton ball with the chilled green tea. Dab the tea onto the blackheads on your face.

Step 6

Leave the tea on your skin for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse your face with cool water, dry thoroughly, and apply oil-free moisturizer to the skin. Repeat daily.
