Kampgrounds of America (KOA) in Bar Harbor has tent and RV sites that can accommodate vehicles up to 60 feet long, as well as cabins and Air Stream Travel Trailer rentals. Hadley's Point Campground is located within walking distance of the public beach and has primitive sites as well as RV sites. Two campgrounds are available at Acadia National Park; Blackwoods and Seawall are both in wooded locations about a 10-minute walk from the ocean. Most of the park sites are for tents, but some can accommodate pop-ups and RVs up to 35 feet long.

Bar Harbor KOA offers 50-amp service at waterfront sites; cable television and a heated swimming pool at the woodland sites; wireless Internet service and free shuttle service. The campground also has a snack bar, kayak and bicycle rentals, planned activities, outdoor movie cinema, basketball and a playground. Hadley's Point offers water and 30-amp electric sites, as well as full hookups; each site include a picnic table and fireplace. The campground provides free wireless Internet, hot showers, bathrooms, shuttle service from late June to Labor Day, heated swimming pool, shuffleboard courts, horseshoes, playground and basketball court. A camp store and laundry facilities are available. Acadia National Park has picnic tables, fire rings, cold running water, comfort stations, a dump station and water faucets. A camp store and seasonal showers are located a half mile from the campground.
Activities
KOA activities include campfire time, pancake breakfasts and craft hour. While camping in Bar Harbor, there is plenty for outdoor enthusiasts to do, including fishing, boating, hiking, jogging, biking, golf, rock climbing, sailing, scenic cruises and whale watching. During the winter, the carriage trails of Acadia National Park are ideal for cross-country skiing. In addition, there are opportunities for snowmobiling and ice climbing.

Area attractions include local breweries such as Atlantic Brewing, Bar Harbor Cellars and Bar Harbor Brewing; the Mount Desert Oceanarium lobster hatchery; lighthouses; Bar Harbor's Music Festival; museums; and antique shops.
