How to Lose Weight with Ultra Green Tea

Ultra Green Tea is a dietary supplement produced by Mega-T, containing green tea extract and hoodia extract. Green tea is a popular ingredient used in weight loss supplements since evidence shows it may help boost metabolism and burn fat at a higher rate, states the University of Maryland Medical Center. Keep in mind that none of the weight loss effects claimed by the manufacturer have been evaluated by the FDA. Speak to your doctor before you use supplements to lose weight.

Step 1

Take one caplet of Mega-T Ultra Green Tea in the morning. Consume each dose of the supplement with a small amount of food.

Step 2

Repeat dosage at lunchtime. Take each caplet with a minimum of eight ounces of water. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Step 3

Eat approximately 1200 calories per day. The Ultra Green Tea manufacturer recommends following a 14-day 1200-calorie diet. Along with 1200 calories, you need an intake of one gram of protein per pound of body weight. Meal plans are available through the Mega-T website. Foods suggested include turkey breast, salads, low-fat dressings, whole-grain breads, fruits, vegetables, fish and chicken. Water should replace high-calorie beverages, such as soda and fruit juice.

Step 4

Exercise on a daily basis. To lose weight, the manufacturer recommends incorporating some stretches and low-impact exercises into your day-to-day routine.

Tips and Warnings

  • Other variations of the supplement are available. Mega-T manufactures caffeine-free versions and dissolvable powder versions. The flavored powder is dissolved in water and consumed in a single sitting.
  • Ultra Green Tea may cause side effects. Discontinue use and contact a doctor if you experience any side effects, such as rapid heartbeat, dizziness, headache, nausea and vomiting. Don't consume Ultra Green Tea too close to bedtime since it may cause difficulty sleeping.
