How to Use the Weight Watchers Scale

Weight Watchers scales are full-function measuring devices produced by Conair. Full function means they do much more than just report how much you weigh. These scales typically provide one or more of the following readings: body weight, body fat percentage, body water percentage, bone mass value, and body mass index (BMI) score. If you're serious about monitoring your fitness, a Weight Watchers scale is a valuable tool that might help keep you on track. Each scale works basically the same way.

Set Up

Step 1

Place the scale in an accessible area with a flat surface. Look for a location to keep the scale that is away from water and other possible hazards, such as being stepped on or moved around. If necessary, store the unit is a safe location when not in use, such as a closet.

Step 2

Press the "Set" button on the front of unit near the LCD display. After one press, the display will show "P-01." Use the arrow keys to adjust the user number from one to 10. Press the "Set" key a second time to confirm the choice.

Step 3

Use the arrow keys to enter your height. Press "Set" to confirm the proper height appears in the display.

Step 4

Enter your age with the up and down arrow keys. Continue to scroll through the options, pressing the arrows keys and hitting the "Set" button to select your choice. After completing the final option, "Gender," the display will flash through the choices and the scale will shut off.

Step 5

Edit the settings if necessary by repeating all the steps and entering the correct information.

Use

Step 1

Tap the scale once with your toe or finger. This will turn it on. Wait for the display to show 0.0.

Step 2

Press the "User" key on the front of the unit to locate your user number. For example, if you are user number three, tap the button until "3" shows in the display.

Step 3

Step on the scale with bare feet. The scale will not properly analyze your reading unless your feet are bare.

Step 4

Line the soles of your feet with the metal strips. The metal strips sit on each side of the top of the unit and provide electrodes that read your body settings, such as bone density. If not properly aligned, the display will show "Err."

Step 5

Wait for several seconds as the machine takes readings. The readings appear in this order: weight, body fat, body water percentage, bone mass value, body mass index and weight again.

Tips and Warnings

  • Watch as the readings cycle through. Each reading will indicate how your current number relates to an average. For instances, body fat percentage will show high, low or on target as well as the number. One scale stores data for multiple users. The exact number of users depends on the model. Read the instructions that come with your product before use. Some units will not have the same features. These instructions apply to models #WW66 and #WW68.
