A Tech Deck ramp refers to a miniature skateboarding ramp used for toy skateboards, Tech Decks, which have the same components as normal skateboards but at a length of only 3 inches. Tech Deck manufactures scaled-down versions of skateboard parks made with a durable plastic material, but a Tech Decker must learn the basics of the ollie, which lifts the Tech Deck off the ground, before attempting to jump the Tech Deck onto a corresponding ramp.
Step 1
Place the four wheels of your Tech Deck on a flat riding surface. Lower your index finger to the left of the Tech Deck logo printed on the top of the miniature skateboard. Place your middle finger onto the back of the Tech Deck, which has a slight incline.
Step 2
Push your Tech Deck forward across the riding surface using your two fingers. Pull the Tech Deck back in the opposing direction quickly. Put pressure on the very back of your Tech Deck with your middle finger to raise the front two wheels off of the riding surface.
Step 3
Raise your middle finger while moving it forward to permit the back wheels of the Tech Deck to lift off the riding surface. Lower your index finger to ensure the bottom of the Tech Deck remains parallel with the riding surface. Push down on the top of the Tech Deck to bring the four wheels back onto the riding surface. Practice these motions to master the ollie.
Step 4
Transport your Tech Deck ramp onto the riding surface where you have been practicing your ollie. Roll your Tech Deck up the front of the ramp. Lift the Tech Deck off of the top of the ramp by performing the techniques of the ollie. Raise your fingers to allow the Tech Deck to ascend higher than the ramp.
Step 5
Lower your fingers to descend the four wheels of the Tech Deck back onto the surface of the ramp face. Push the Tech Deck down the ramp to complete your jump.
