ProForm 1050 Treadmill Specifications

The ProForm 1050T has a powerful motor and ample-size running deck, making it suitable for walking, running or jogging. Like most ProForm treadmills, the 1050T comes with a number of impressive features and an unusually high number of workout options, especially considering the treadmill’s mid-range price tag and low-end sale price.

Motor

The 1050T has a 3.0 direct-cooled continuous horsepower Mach Z motor. One-button adjustments allow you to quickly select from motor speeds between 1 mph and 12 mph. The same one touch-style controls allow you to select between 0 percent and 12 percent motor-adjusted inclines.

Programs

The ProForm 1050T treadmill offers 20 goal-oriented calorie burning workouts. You input your calorie-burn goal and the treadmill automatically sets speed, incline and workout time to meet that goal. The 1050T is also compatible with iFit, the workout expansion feature included on almost every piece of exercise equipment from ICON Health & Fitness, the ProForm parent company. Each iFit card you plug into the treadmill console works as an extra preprogrammed workout. You’ll hear a personal trainer’s voice guiding you through the workout as the treadmill automatically adjusts speed and incline.

Features

Notable features on the ProForm 1050T include an MP3 player-compatible music port with a built-in sound system, a storage cubby for the MP3 player, a backlit LCD console display and a built-in handgrip heart rate monitor. It also displays your workout progress in terms of how far you’ve traveled around a 1/4-mile track.

Size

The ProForm 1050T measures 70 inches long by 34 inches wide by 59.5 inches high. The ProTech-cushioned running belt measures 20 inches wide by 60 inches long--long enough that you should be able to run comfortably, even if you’re tall and have a long stride. You can adjust the treadbelt cushioning to fit your running style. When not in use, the treadmill’s deck folds vertically against the console supports to reduce its footprint.

Capacity

The ProForm 1050T treadmill has a maximum user weight limit of 325 lbs.

Price and Warranty

As of September 2010, the ProForm 1050T has an MSRP of about $1,600, although it’s sale-priced at $750 when purchased direct from the manufacturer. Pricing exercise equipment relatively high, then selling it at a steep, constant discount, is common practice in the exercise equipment industry.
The 1050T is backed by a lifetime frame warranty, 25-year motor warranty, two years of parts coverage and one year of labor coverage.
