Freeport, Grand Bahama Island offers you a variety of healthy ways to spend your vacation. From water sports to a game of golf on a famous course, you will find a way to stay active no matter what time of year you visit.

Snorkeling Adventures

Freeport's sandy white beaches and crystal blue waters make snorkeling a must. There are many snorkeling tours available, such as Pat & Diane's Tours. They will escort you out to sea on a double-decker catamaran that features a 30-foot water slide and a rock-climbing wall. Tours include snorkeling equipment and instruction, with lunch, drinks and other refreshments available for an additional charge.

Dolphin Encounters

The Underwater Explorer's Society offers a variety of dolphin experience tours, giving you the opportunity to interact and swim with the dolphins in the Dolphin Experience Lagoon. Learn to give the dolphins behavioral signals like wave, jump and speak. Enjoy special individual moments with the dolphins, where you might receive a kiss or hug from one of these amazing creatures.

Horseback Riding

Saddle up and head to the beach, where you can spend an hour and a half riding with one of Trikk Pony Adventure's friendly, well-tamed horses. With the freedom to ride along the beach without being confined to a single-file line, you'll be able to explore the natural beauty of the Bahamas independently for a personalized experience.

Golf

Perfect your golf game on one of two 18-hole courses offered by Our Lucaya Beach and Golf Resort--the Lucaya and the Reef. These signature courses designed by Dick Wilson and Robert Trent Jones, Jr. challenge you with elevated greens and doglegs and strategically placed water areas. These tropical courses were voted number one in the Bahamas by popular sports magazines around the world.

Water Sports

Ocean Motion Water Sports offers equipment and tours as well as instruction for a variety of water activities, including para sailing, waterskiing, kayaking and jet skiing. Private wind surfing lessons and boat tours are also available year-round, weather permitting.
