Staying in the Heartbreak Hotel isn't for every visitor to Graceland. Some people prefer to visit this 14-acre estate in a less traditional fashion. Whether you want to rough it or camp out in your RV, there are options for you at the late, great Elvis Presley's home in Memphis. When staying in your RV or one of the campground's cabins you will be able to walk to Graceland.
Rates
How much you pay to stay in the park depends on whether or not you stay in a cabin or in your RV. Rates are also different depending on whether you plan to stay for a day, a week or a month. There are also variations in the rates depending on what time of year you choose to visit. Visitors are encouraged to call the reservation office to work out rates.
Amenities
The Memphis-Graceland RV Park and Campground offers a number of amenities to those making a pilgrimage to the King's castle. The entire camp enjoys complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access. The camp also includes a children's playground, swimming pool and picnic tables. Those without a computer can use office computers to access the Internet using dial-up during business hours.
Cabins
The cabins at Graceland's campground are set up for a family of four. They include a double bed for the parents a set of bunk beds for the kids. All beds are in a single room. The room itself is 12-feet square. Additionally, all cabins have a six-foot porch in the front. Rooms come equipped with both benches and tables.
Store
In addition to complimentary amenities, the Graceland campground provides guests with a store. Guests at Graceland may purchase goods such as ice, maps, beverages, groceries and propane. Souvenirs such as books and t-shirts can also be purchased at the store. The staff in the store's office will further assist you and your family in making reservations for restaurants and tours in the area.
Rules
The Memphis-Graceland RV Park and Campground has a number of rules and regulations for the safety and enjoyment of all. A strict five miles-per-hour speed limit is maintained in the park, as are quiet hours between the hours of 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. When not at their campsite, all children under the age of 10 must have an adult chaperon. All overnight guests must be registered. Pets must always be on a leash, attended to and cleaned up after. Campfires are not allowed owing to Memphis law.
