Kelty has been building outdoor and camping gear since 1952, which includes backpacks. They have a special line of children carriers that are designed to work exactly like a backpack for kids.
Types
Kelty carries five different child carriers as of September 2010. The most noticeable difference between the five is color. The FC model comes is orange, green and blue. The TC model comes in black and blue. The next difference between the two styles is that the FC model comes equipped with a table stand allowing you to rest the bag on a table without it dropping. The TC is designed closer to a normal backpack.
Specs and Features
The FC model is built on aluminum frames and has a 50 pound storage limit. It comes with a waist belt that has storage, toy loops, curved shoulder straps and a padded mesh back panel for added comfort. The TC model is also built on a lightweight aluminum frame, but only has a 40 pound weight limit. It incorporates a stabilizing foot peddle for loading, a padded back panel, load-lifter straps and toy loops.

The FC model ranges from $149.95 to $249.95 and the TC model ranges from $149.95 to 179.95. Both are available through the Kelty website.
