How to Identify a Ritalin MD 532 Tab Pill

Ritalin is the brand name for a medication which is used to treat attention deficit hyperactive disorder. The actual medication is methylphenidate hydrochloride, which is commonly available in a generic form. This medication is available in a variety of dosages and forms. One form of this pill is called MD 532, which can be identified by looking at the pill's characteristics.

Step 1

Look at the pill's shape and color. A Ritalin MD 532 pill should be small and round. It is also usually orange.

Step 2

Examine both sides of the pill. One side should have "MD" imprinted on it and the other side should have "532" imprinted. The 532 side will also have a line etched into it that is perpendicular to the 532 and is broken up by the "3"

Step 3

Check a pill identifier. If you have any other concerns, or the markings do not match the above descriptions, the pill can be identified using an online pill identifier.
