There are literally hundreds of diet plans available to consumers. Depending on the regimen, they require you to fast, take chemical supplements or eat certain types of food. If you're interested in losing weight, it can be hard to determine which one may be right for you. The LA Weight Loss and detox plans are among popular diets.
LA
LA Weight Loss began as a center-based program but has switched to focusing on its online presence. Originally, you had to visit a location and receive an in-person consultation before signing up for the diet. Dieters now order products and research plans via the company website, as opposed to visiting traditional brick and mortar weight-loss stores. The LA Weight Loss plan can be meal-replacement-based or dieters can adjust foods they buy at grocery stores.
Proteins
During the LA Weight Loss program, dieters can choose two servings of four ounces of protein daily. These selections can include four ounces of steak, beef, lean pork, ground turkey, crab, salmon or tuna. Alternatively, you can have six ounces of chicken breast, turkey breast, cod, shrimp, scallops, lobster, yellowtail or halibut. Two eggs or egg substitutes may be eaten in place of one protein. Also, one ounce of low-fat hard cheese may be eaten in place of one protein.
Other foods
Each day, you may have three fruit selections that include apples, lemons, oranges, one small banana, blueberries, strawberries or papaya. Also, you can have three vegetable choices. These can include celery stalks, cucumbers, green peppers, asparagus, tomatoes, eggplant and zucchini. LA Weight Loss followers may eat two starches each day, which can include one slice of diet bread, one rice cake or a cup of brown rice. For fat intake, dieters can have two servings daily of one tablespoon of diet margarine or mayonnaise. The plan also requires you to eat two LA Light bars each day.
Detox
Detoxification diets can help rid your body of toxic waste stored in its tissues. Cleansing occurs naturally in the body, but repeated exposure to toxins like processed food and chemicals can inhibit the body's natural ability to cleanse itself. Detoxification diets are recommended for those whose systems are overloaded with unhealthy habits like an improper diet and lack of physical activity and thus have built up toxins the body naturally can't cleanse.
Detox Actions
With any detox diet, proper hydration is paramount. All of them call for an increase in water intake. Second on the list for a strong detox diet is an increased intake of fruits and vegetables, which naturally help the body cleanse itself. Some programs call for participants to only eat organic food, and many require users to increase their vitamin and mineral intake. During and after a detoxification, sugar, refined flour, fried food, drugs, nicotine and alcohol should be decreased or eliminated.
