Part of New Balance's Sonic Speed collection, the NB 805 running shoe features a lightweight design intended to help runners shave seconds off their times. At just 8.5 oz., the shoe includes extra cushioning for comfort--an uncommon attribute in a shoe that weighs so little.
Materials
Breathable air mesh uppers provide ventilation and are ultra-light. Layers of cushioning provide comfort and shock absorption, and include fast-drying LockDown liners; ACTEVA and ABZORB cushioning for mid-soles and forefeet; and removable, molded EVA liners. Blown rubber outer soles provide traction.
Features
Specialized eyelet lacing and extra-padded collars and tongues give the thin uppers enough structure to snugly support your foot. New Balance the Sure Lace secure laces to stay tied during intense workouts.
Choices
Choose from four color combinations in women's sizes, including black-pink and white-blue. Look for narrow, standard and wide widths. Men can choose from five color combinations, including black-red and white-silver, in standard and extra wide widths.
Fit
Expect the NB 805s to fit close to your feet. The heels run narrow but the toes are cut wide to allow for foot swelling when you run. If you prefer a looser fit, consider ordering up a half size.
