The Bowflex Power Pro is a strength training and cardiovascular exercise machine that utilizes resistance power rods to fatigue the muscles in order to promote fat loss and muscle fiber growth.

Design

The Bowflex Power Pro measures 6-feet-2-inches tall, 5-feet-4-inches long and 1-foot-11-inches wide, as of 2010. The machine uses rods with different levels of resistance to fatigue muscles. Users attach a hook to the rods and through a pulley system maneuver the hand straps to engage the rods. Machine comes standard with up to 210 pounds of resistance, which can be upgraded to 410 pounds of resistance.

Muscle Groups Worked

The Bowflex Power Pro exerciser can engage every major muscle group in the body. This includes upper body areas such as biceps, triceps, forearms, abdominal and upper/lower back; along with lower body areas such as quadriceps, hamstrings, buttocks, calves; as well as providing a cardiovascular exercise through the rowing seat.

Number of Exercise Movements

The original Bowflex Power Pro offers 60 upper and lower body exercises. Additional exercises can be accessed by purchasing additional features, such as the lat pull-down attachment and the leg extension attachment.

Cost

The Bowflex Power Pro price varies according to the number of attachments purchased and version of the machine. As of 2010, the Bowflex Power Pro is available in three designs: Original, Power Pro XT and the Power Pro XTLU. As of 2010, each features a different price tag, which can range from slightly under $1,000 to more than $2,000 based on features.
