Geography
Sevierville is less than 10 miles north of Pigeon Forge and about 15 miles north of the Great Smoky Mountains. Great Smoky Mountains National Park
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about 15 miles south of Sevierville and offers four different camping options for visitors. If you prefer the more primitive camping experience there is backcountry camping where you can hike several miles to your campsite. If you prefer to camp with some modern conveniences, you should consider front-country camping where you can park near your car with electric and water hookups. If you're visiting with a large group of eight or more, you should consider camping at the group campgrounds. There are also horse camps with primitive camping sites and hitching posts.
