Spend your next vacation in one of three RV parks located in Beaumont, Texas, where baseball player Frank Robinson and musician Edgar Winter have resided. The college town, located in Jefferson County, is home to Lamar University and a place where you can attend many annual events, including the South Texas State Fair in October and the Crawfish Festival in May. Each of the three RV parks in Beaumont has full hookups, wireless Internet access and cable television. East Lucas RV Park has 50-amp electric service and modem hookups. Hidden Lake RV Park has 30- and 50-amp electric service, while Gulf Coast RV Resort offers 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric service and has telephone and modem hookups as well.

Activities

Activities in Gulf Coast RV Resort include swimming in the pool, relaxing on the sun deck, working out in the exercise room and enjoying a picnic. In Hidden Lake RV Park, you can spend the day wildlife viewing, hiking on nature trails and catch-and-release fishing in the eight-acre, spring-fed lake. The parks are also located within minutes of outdoor recreation in 1,090-acre Village Creek State Park, 105,684-acre Big Thicket National Preserve and 500-acre Tyrell Park.

Facilities and Amenities

East Lucas RV Park, Gulf Coast RV Resort and Hidden Lake RV Park all have restrooms and showers. Additionally, in Gulf Coast RV Resort, you'll find a meeting room, free breakfast, laundry facilities, a playground and a convenience store with a gift shop and RV supplies. Hidden Lake RV Park has paved streets, a patio at each site and a laundry facility.

Area Attractions

Since Beaumont is known as the "Museum Capital of Texas," you can spend your day viewing exhibits in the many museums located here. View collections of 19th- and 20th-century fine, folk and decorative arts in the Art Museum of Southeast Texas and see police memorabilia from the early 1900s in the Beaumont Police Museum. You can also view Thomas Edison's inventions, innovative ideas and patents in the Edison Plaza Museum. Other museums to visit are the Texas Energy Museum, Babe Didrikson Zaharias Museum and the John Jay French Museum.
