Keen is a new shoe manufacturer, having been in business only five years as of September 2010. The company specializes in hiking and walking shoes, such as the Keen Targhee II.
Types
Two versions of the Targhee line are available: the Targhee II and the Targhee II Mid. The primary difference between the two is that the Targhee II Mid is a boot that breaks just about the ankle. Each type of Targhee II comes in five color schemes, including green, walnut and black. Both shoe versions of the Targhee II are lace-ups.
Features
Both the Targhee II Mid and the Targhee II incorporate two standard features, the "KEEN.DRY" waterproofing technology (a waterproof mesh) and 4 mm sole lugs that provide added grip. In addition, each has a non-marking rubber outsole and a removable footbed. Each shoe also incorporates additional protection in the toe area and a footbed design with excellent arch support.
Price
As of September 2010, the Targhee II is available for $115 and the Targhee II Mid for $125. Both can be purchased from Keen's website.
