Hunt Seat
Blue Spring Farm, located in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, just north of Milwaukee, offers hunt seat lessons both on the flat and jumping. Private and group lessons are available for all levels of riders ages four and older. Riders are expected to groom and tack their horses before a lesson and cool down and untack after a lesson. The farm has several lesson horses and ponies available for any skill level.
Wildlife Refuge
Ride through the Wisconsin Dells Wildlife Refuge in Wisconsin Dells with Beaver Springs Horseback Riding Stable. The stable is a part of Beaver Springs Park and offers guided trail rides. Thirty-minute and one-hour trail rides are available. The rides are suitable for beginners and first-time riders. Children ages two to six years old may participate in the Children's Arena Ride.
Wine Tour
Kurtz Corral in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, offers a variety of guided trail rides. Advanced riders with at least 40 hours of riding experience may take part in the Wine Tour. This ride is more than two hours long and includes a stop at the Simon Creek Winery. Other rides available include the advanced skill ride, the arena ride, the wooded walk ride and the wooded walk-trot ride.
Girl and Boy Scouts
Kinni Valley Riding Academy is located in River Falls, Wisconsin. The academy offers programs for girl and boy scouts to earn horsemanship-related badges. The scouts learn the basics of horse care, grooming, tack and equipment and barn management. They have the opportunity to participate in a riding lesson on one of the academy's horses. The academy also offers trail riding clinics and private and group dressage and western riding lessons.
Ride Through an Old West Town
Canyon Creek Stables is located in Lake Delton, Wisconsin, and offers a one-hour guided tour through Canyon Creek. Canyon Creek features Boot Hill Cemetery and Tombstone, an Old West town and riders will cross a bridge and see waterfalls and rock formations during the ride. Children can also enjoy the free petting zoo located here.
