Everything from allergies to weight gain to lack of sleep can leave your cheeks feeling bloated and tired. For minor puffiness, take advantage of a number of remedies to help tighten your face. You can use different ways to slim down your puffy cheeks so you can look your best.

Cold Compress

Apply a cold compress to your face to soothe your skin and jump-start your circulation, recommends ModernMom's YouTube Channel. To make a cold compress, run a washcloth under very cold water or place ice cubes in the middle of the cloth and hold it to your face. A small bag of frozen peas or corn also works well as a cold compress. Apply a cold compress to each cheek for several minutes. Let the color and temperature of your face return to normal before you apply makeup.

Massage

Perform a lymphatic drainage massage on your face. Lie on your back and start at the top of your face. Lightly massage your forehead, under your eyes and down the sides of your face. Keep moving down your face until you reach your jawline and your neck. Repeat the massage 20 to 30 times. This helps excess fluid in your cheeks travel down to the drainage lymph nodes in your neck and upper chest, according to ModernMom.

Makeup

Use makeup to make your face look slimmer. Apply a bronzer directly underneath your cheek line. Add blush to your cheekbone. Use a highlighter on the tops of your cheekbones, brow bones, the bridge of your nose and your inner eye corners to draw attention to the center of your face and away from puffy cheeks, recommends DivaVillage.com.

Diet and Exercise

Overall weight gain also contributes to puffy cheeks. Drink more water and cut back on salt to reduce the sodium retention that leads to bloating. Eat low-calorie foods that naturally contain plenty of water, such as fruits and vegetables. Add exercise and strength training to the mix, and you'll be back to a slimmer face in no time.
