The Biggest Loser Diet is a low calorie and low fat eating plan that recommends frequent exercise in order to lose weight. Many of the concepts of the diet are featured on the well-known weight loss reality television show of the same name. You can participate in the diet online or read the basics on how to follow it by purchasing the diet book.

Very Low in Calories

Depending on your current weight, your daily caloric intake may be as low as 1,050 per day. Due to the low number of calories you are consuming, you may feel hungry often when following the diet. Diets below 1,200 calories per day should not be followed without the approval from a doctor.

No Evidence

According to Diets in Review, there is no substantial evidence provided by the Biggest Loser Diet to prove the plan's success. If you don't lose weight while following the plan, you will not be reimbursed since a refund or guarantee program is not offered by the diet. To determine whether this weight loss program is a good choice for you, you should consider signing up for the free trial program offered through the Biggest Loser website.

Cost

Plans for the online version of the diet can be costly. You must pay a monthly rate for access. The highest cost is assigned if you only pay for a single month at a time. You pay a lower rate if you lock into a contract with the website for a set number of months. A meal delivery program is also offered by the company. You may pay for a five day plan that includes 15 meals and 5 snacks or a seven day plan with 21 meals and 7 snacks. The meals are low calorie and stick to the diet plan, but are expensive and you can not customize the menu.
