Are you planning an RV trip in the Southeast? Almost any trip will take you through Georgia. Three major interstates cross in Atlanta, and any traveler headed to Florida for fishing, golf or water sports will visit the Peach State. You might be headed for camping or trout fishing in the north Georgia mountains, or for hiking, canoeing or rock climbing in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee or North Carolina. Camping World, the nation's largest RV store and service center, offers four accessible locations for RV visitors.

History of Camping World

Camping World is the largest retailer of recreational vehicles (RVs), RV supplies and camping equipment in the United States. The company was founded in 1966, and currently has 75 locations throughout the country. In addition to its physical stores, Camping World offers an extensive online catalog of supplies and equipment available for online purchase and worldwide shipping.

Oakwood, Georgia

The Oakwood store is just off I-985, in northeast Georgia. The store is approximately 40 miles north of Atlanta and just south of Gainesville. In the spring and summer, the Oakwood location is open seven days a week. From September to March, the store is closed on Sunday. This location of Camping World has a service center on site, offering routine maintenance and minor collision repairs. You might also take advantage of the overnight parking, allowing you to spend time at the store and utilize the RV services available at this location before heading into the north Georgia mountains.

Woodstock, Georgia

Located north of Atlanta, the Woodstock location is on the southern edge of the north Georgia mountains along I-575. This location offers both RV sales and service, in addition to an extensive RV supply and accessory store and minor collision repair. The service department is closed on Sunday, and the shop is closed on Sunday during the winter. The Woodstock location offers comfortable overnight parking, and is a convenient place to service and stock your RV if you are heading for the mountains of Georgia, Tennessee or North Carolina.

Macon, Georgia

Located in the heart of Georgia is the Macon Camping World location. This large complex is just minutes from I-75, the main north-south highway through the state. If you are traveling to or from Florida, this location is a great place to restock or service your RV. The RV supply store is open every day throughout the year. The service center is open every day except Sunday and offers extensive service and collision repairs. Overnight parking is available.

Savannah, Georgia

If you are traveling in south Georgia or near the Charleston area in South Carolina, you might consider visiting the Savannah Camping World location. Located conveniently off I-95 in Pooler, just outside of Savannah, this location offers year-round service for your RV. Considering a new RV or need to restock your supplies? This location also offers RV sales and a supply store. Overnight parking is available, and might offer you a convenient stopping point as you travel along the coast.
