Arizona is no stranger to the American pastime of miniature golf--there are dozens of parks across the Copper State. Phoenix itself has three popular choices for those wishing to challenge themselves with a creative 18-hole expedition, perfect for friends and family. An indoor course even allows participants to escape the heat. Note there are numerous parks in nearby Mesa, Tempe and Scottsdale as well.
Castles-n-Coaster
Castles-n-Coaster offers not one but four miniature golf courses--enough to give players a playful "world tour" of choices and challenges. Each course is crafted with a cultural theme, giving golfers the chance to "travel the world" and play through classic landmarks, fairy-tale vistas and unusual hazards. Children 5 and younger play for free when accompanied by a paying adult; there are no minimum height requirements for any of the four courses. Castles-n-Coaster is at 9445 N Metro Parkway, Phoenix, Ariz. Call (602) 997-7575 for more information.
Mini Golf Paradise
Mini Golf Paradise has an 18-hole indoor course modeled on a jungle motif. Despite the colorful rainforest setting, players are treated to a comfortable, climate-controlled facility. Mini Golf Paradise lets golfers work through a safari theme with all the usual faux animal suspects: tigers, elephants, gorillas, hippos, rhinos and more. This course is at 15230 N. 32nd St., Phoenix, Ariz. Call (602) 274-4653 (GOLF) for more information.
Glow Putt Productions
Glow Putt Productions is in the Metro Center Mall. Here, mini golf enthusiasts will play in a glow-in-the-dark course, climate-controlled, and child-oriented. The course is small but makes effective use of space, and its location permits a nice break from the usual mall traffic and bustle. A good choice for days when either blistering heat or sudden rain threatens to drive the fun away, Glow Putt Productions may just be your venue. Glow Putt Productions is at 9617 N Metro Parkway, Phoenix, Ariz. Call (602) 749-2040 for more information.

Considerations
The Phoenix area has a lot of choices for miniature golf. There's a little bit of everything--indoor, outdoor and thematic selections.
