The Image 10.0 treadmill comes equipped with a 2-horsepower motor and a 50-inch walking belt that's suitable for an aerobic workout consisting of walking or light running. The device comes with two operating modes: manual operation allows the user to adjust the treadmill's speed and angle of incline through the treadmill's console, while automatic operation consists of selecting one of four preprogrammed "Personal Trainer" workouts. When not in use, the user can fold up the treadmill for easier storage.
Manual Operation
Step 1
Connect the treadmill's power cord to a surge protector, then plug the surge protector into a grounded electrical outlet. Find the clip attached at the end of the safety key's lanyard; attach the clip to your waistband. Mount the treadmill's deck by placing one foot on each of the side rails. Insert the safety key into the slot located on the front edge of the console.
Step 2
Confirm that the "Manual Control" indicator, located above the "Mode" button, is lit; if it is not, press the "Mode" button repeatedly until the indicator lights up. Press the "Start" button to set the walking belt in motion. Grip the hand rails and step onto the belt.
Step 3
Use the "Speed" buttons to increase or decrease the rate at which the treadmill's belt moves. Use the "Incline" button to adjust the difficulty of your workout by shifting the end of the deck up or down.
Personal Trainer
Step 1
Activate and mount the treadmill as you would for manual operation. Examine the center of the control panel and note the four printed diagrams; each diagram illustrates the duration and individual segments of the four preset personal trainer programs.
Step 2
Select your desired program. Press the "Mode" button repeatedly until the indicator next to your selected program's diagram lights up. Press the "Start" button to begin the program.
Step 3
Grip the hand rails and step onto the belt; begin walking. Note the grid of lights displayed to the right of the diagrams; the third column of lights indicates your current speed setting, while the four columns to the right display the speed settings for the upcoming segments.
Step 4
Continue walking or running until you see the "Speed" display flash, then prepare for the speed to shift to the settings for the next segment. Continue progressing through the workout in this manner.
Tips and Warnings
- If desired, you can play audio from external devices, such as MP3 players and televisions, through the console's speakers; use an audio cable to connect the "line out" port on the device to the audio port located on the underside of the console.
