Outdoor trampolines are enjoyable for the entire family and provide a good source of exercise for young and old. To keep everyone safe while using the device, always attach the safety net before using since children like to jump on trampolines as a challenge to see how high they can go. The net prevents the jumper from accidentally falling off the trampoline or being stuck in the springs placed around the side edge.
Step 1
Remove the trampoline net, poles and hardware from the box. Lay all pieces on the ground and take inventory using the instruction sheet to make sure you have all pieces.
Step 2
Build the four pole arches by connecting an "L" pole to the longer pole that attaches to the trampoline. Attach a small pole between two "L" pole units to make the arch. Refer to the instruction manual for your trampoline brand.
Step 3
Assemble the eight net support poles if the trampoline brand does not have arch units. Verify the correct assembly with the instruction manual enclosed in the safety net kit.
Step 4
Insert the lower pole end of each arch, or each individual pole, into the slots around the perimeter of the trampoline. Screw the arch in place tightly with the two screws and nuts that came with the kit so the units do not wiggle or slide.
Step 5
Fasten foam tubing to the poles if they are part of the safety net kit. Attach the ball end caps to the individual pole style of safety net.
Step 6
Lay the net out and determine the top and bottom edges.
Step 7
Attach the netting to the inside of the pole arches using the eight straps already attached to the top edge. Affix two straps to each arch to hold the netting firmly in place. Sew the net to the poles from the top to the bottom for the individual pole style. Wrap the cording around the poles and through the netting to secure the net in place.
Step 8
Thread the cording to the needle that came with the safety net. Thread the cording through the netting at the door hole. Sew the netting to the trampoline frame by pulling the needle and cording through the "V" ring on the trampoline and through the netting.
Step 9
Sew around the entire perimeter of the trampoline making sure to leave the door flap loose so you can enter the trampoline. Tie off the cording to secure the netting.
Step 10
Inspect the net after installation to make sure it is secure and does not gap along the upper or lower edge. Periodically inspect the net to verify the netting remains secure.
