The average person has about 100,000 hairs on their head. Each strand of hair on your head usually only grows about one centimeter per month. Your hair strands only have a life span of around two to four years. The hair on your head takes a lot of wear and tear during its lifetime. Constant exposure to the elements of nature, soaps, chemicals and shampoos can also be hazardous to the growth of your hair. There some ways which can help you grow your hair faster.

Step 1

Massage your scalp with your fingers for two to three minutes until your scalp feels like it is tingling before shampooing your hair. Massaging your scalp will help the hair roots receive nutrients from the hair follicles while removing wastes on the scalp.

Step 2

Eat a good amount of protein found in foods such as fish, eggs and meats to help grow a fuller head of hair. Your hair is essentially strands of protein and it needs the necessary amount of protein to maximize its growth cycle.

Step 3

Exercise for 30 to 60 minutes everyday. Any physical activity will help improve your overall health, but it will also help reduce your stress and increase blood circulation in your scalp to help your hair grow.

Step 4

Eat foods that are rich in iron such as spinach, raisins and beans. Foods which are rich in iron can help increase circulation in your scalp and induce your hair to grow faster.

Step 5

Do not over dry your hair with a blow dryer by keeping it on the lowest setting when drying your hair. Making your hair too hot or too dry can cause damage your hair follicles, which can slow your hair's growth cycle.

Tips and Warnings
