Optifast 800 Ready-to-Drink Shakes are 8 oz. per serving. Each shake provides 160 calories and 3 g of fat. Optifast shakes contain 20 g of carbohydrates, 220 mg of sodium and 470 g of potassium. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration establishes the recommended daily intake of all nutrients, including vitamins and minerals.
Optifast 800 Soup Mix
Optifast 800 Soup is available in garden tomato and chicken flavors. These dry mixes must be reconstituted at home by the consumer. Each packet of soup contains 160 to 170 calories, 3 to 4 g of fat and 14 g of protein. One serving also contains 19 to 20 g of carbohydrates. A single serving provides 600 to 620 mg of sodium and 450 to 750 mg of potassium. Optifast soups contain a trace amount of lactose--less than 1 g.
Optifast 800 Bar
Optifast 800 bars come in three flavors: peanut butter, berry, and yogurt and chocolate. A one-bar serving contains 160 to 170 calories, 19 to 21 g of carbohydrates and 3.5 to 5 g of fat. Each bar also contains 150 to 190 mg of sodium and 350 to 360 mg of potassium. Optifast 800 bars contain less than 1 g of lactose, but unlike Optifast shakes and soup mix, Optifast bars contain 4 g of fiber.
Optifast HP Powders
Designed specifically for patients before and after bariatric surgery, Optifast HP powder shakes provide calorie-controlled nutrition with an additional supply of protein--26 g per serving. Each shake also provides 200 calories, 10 g of carbohydrates and 6 g of fat. Each serving of Optifast HP provides 480 mg of sodium and 800 mg of potassium. Optifast HP provides no fiber and contains less than 1 g of lactose.
Optisource High-Protein Drink
Also designed by the manufacturers of Optifast HP for bariatric patients, Optisource High-Protein Drink is a ready-to-drink shake that provides 100 calories, 6 g of carbohydrates and 3 g of fat. Optisource HP contains 140 mg of both potassium and sodium and a trace amount of lactose--less than 1 g.
