Juicing vegetables and fruit provides an alternative way to consume fresh, raw vegetables. Juicing removes hard-to-digest pulp and fiber, which allows your body to absorb the nutrients faster. Electric juicers are specially designed to extract juice while removing pulp and fiber. Consult your doctor before adding large amounts of vegetable and fruit juices to your diet.
Step 1
Wash your fruit and vegetables thoroughly with water.
Step 2
Peel your fruit and vegetables if the peels are too tough to be juiced. Oranges and lemons should be peeled, but apples, pears, peppers, and other fruit and vegetables with thin peels may be juiced with the peel.
Step 3
Wrap small, leafy vegetables into a ball or inside larger leafy vegetables so the juicer will catch all of the leaves.
Step 4
Cut your fruits and vegetables into pieces that fit into the juicer chute. Remove any seeds, cores or hard tops when cutting your fruits and vegetables.
Step 5
Place your fruit and vegetable pieces into the juicer chute and push the pieces down by pushing down the chute cover. Continue to add fruit and vegetable pieces until juicing is complete.
Step 6
Pour the juice into an air-tight container and place in the refrigerator if you don't plan to drink the juice immediately.
Step 7
Rinse all the components of your juicer with warm water after juicing.
