Environmental Film Fest
The Environmental Film Festival takes place in Washington annually. It presents dozens of films that explore environmental issues, the natural world and sustainable living. Volunteer are alway needed at the festival both in the planning phase and at the time of the festival. Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup
Join more than 60,000 volunteers to get dirty and clean up the Potomac. This event takes place all over the Potomac River watershed where volunteers take more than 200 tons of trash from river areas. A recent Cleanup netted 15 tons of recyclables. The event not only goes a long way to improving the life of the watershed, but is also a good green way to get some exercise and make a lasting contribution.
