Lavera's line of waterproof sunscreens is designed to give protection from the sun while using only organic ingredients. The company claims that 93 to 95 percent of all UVB rays are blocked.
Product Line
There are five types of sunscreen choices in the product line. Anti-aging facial sunscreen includes bio-hyaluronic acid, witch hazel and caffeine, as well as a clear moisturizer to treat the signs of aging. SPF 20 sunscreens are available unscented, neutral spray or in a special formula for children. A SPF 15 lip balm stick is also offered.
Minerals
Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are the key ingredients that provide protection from the sun's rays. Both mineral derivative compounds work by dispersing radiation before it hits the skin.
Prices
Prices for the various sunscreens range from $2.40 for the lip balm to $31 for the spray in 2010. The product line is available at retailers such as Amazon.com and Target. Lavera offers some discounts through its own online store, for out of the box tubes.
