Miniature golf provides an entertaining form of exercise that the whole family can enjoy. It provides an excuse to get out of the house and stroll through the courses, practicing your putting skills. The San Francisco Bay area offers a number of miniature golf centers. These centers not only provide a challenging miniature golf experience, but offer a number of other attractions and services.

Courses

There are several options for miniature golf throughout the Bay Area. Golfland USA is open seven days a week and contains two 18-hole courses in Sunnyvale. Golf N Games, located in Antioch is open Wednesday through Sunday and contains two 18-hole courses. Malibu in Redwood City is another option that is open seven days a week and offers two courses.

Specials

Treating your family to a round or two of miniature golf does not have to be expensive, thanks to the many promotions and specials available at most courses. Golfland offers special discounted rates on Monday nights after 5 p.m. It also has a Mini-Golf Mania Special running Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., where you get unlimited rounds of golf for one price. Malibu provides several promotions to save your family money. The Malibu Fun Pass allows you to enjoy the fun of miniature golf, bumper boats, and go-karts for one price.

Birthday Parties

Planning a birthday party that is fun and engaging takes careful thought. Many courses relieve you of this responsibility by providing birthday packages for your child. Golfland allows you to combine up to three activities into one birthday party with their packages. The pizza party package requires at least 10 guests and Golfland provides all of the supplies you need to make the birthday complete. Golf N Games offers both basic and themed birthday options along with pizza, soda, tokens and golf.

Events

Miniature golf courses often host events both for fundraising and competition. Golfland holds an annual Tournament of Champions for top Golfland players in the Bay Area. The top six players receive cash prizes. Malibu offers fundraising events for schools, non-profit organizations, and clubs and provides everything you need to promote your event. Once you host the event, your organization gets to keep 15 percent of its sales.

Other Activities

While Miniature golf is a fun activity in itself, most courses offer several other choices for family fun. Golfland's arcade features many interactive games to enjoy after a round of golf. Test your skill in the batting cages or drive a go-kart in the slick track at Golf N Games. Malibu provides entertainment options ranging from go-karts to bumper boats in addition to their miniature golf.
