One of the fastest-growing sports is triathlon. An estimated 6 million athletes participate each year in triathlon events worldwide, according to Triathlon Canada. The average competitor has experience in at least one of the three disciplines that define the sport. Swimming experience, more than cycling or running, is often missing with new triathletes; hence a proper training program is essential. Happily, training programs are available for every experience level and race distance imaginable.
