Sagging breasts occur when the ligaments that support your breasts stretch. While sagging breasts can occur at any age, MayoClinic.com attributes aging, smoking and pregnancy as the most common culprits for reducing skin elasticity in the breasts. With patience, dedication and a willingness to change some lifestyle habits, practically anyone can reverse the effect of sagging in their breasts.

Step 1

Visit your local lingerie or department store and have your bust measured and fitted for a pair of supportive bras. Try on various bra sizes before selecting one for your size. The front middle portion of the breast strap should touch your skin for maximum support. Seek out a bra with a wide back strap and three to six hooks to increase the amount of reinforcement.

Step 2

Set aside 15 to 60 minutes every day for chest exercises that can help tone the muscles under your bust. Perform three to five sets of ten push ups followed by chest presses with a dumbbell curl to help define the area surrounding your breasts.

Step 3

Perform the upward-facing dog yoga exercise recommended by "Yoga Journal" for stretching and strengthening the chest and shoulders. Lie on the yoga mat with your abdomen on the mat and your hands just under your shoulders in push up position. Squeeze the tops of your feet into the mat as you steadily lift your chest off the floor by straightening your arms. Slowly raise your thighs off the floor so that your feet and hands are the only parts of your body touching the floor. Take three deeps breaths and release.

Step 4

Adopt a healthy calorie deficiency with your diet and exercise regimen so that you steadily burn off more calories than you consume throughout the day. This will particularly help you if obesity and weight problems are the causes of sagging breasts.
