Las Vegas might conjure up images of gambling and drinking excessively. However, that is not all there is to do. Date night does not just have to consist of dinner and a movie. Dress up a night out to dinner with healthful food or consider some other alternative, entertaining options.
Dancing
Take a dance lesson with your romantic partner. Head to Dance Charisma and try a free introductory lesson to see if dancing is for you two. Try salsa, rumba or the waltz. If you are preparing for the first dance at your wedding, you can take lessons geared toward that as well. Head over to Las Vegas Dance Sport to try your feet at some Latin dancing moves and skills.
Swimming
Jump into the waters together or have a flirty swimming race in one of the area's pools. At the Walnut Recreation Center, you will find a pool and a preschool, so you can drop off the kids before having a swim together. Older couples will enjoy the relaxed vibe of the Cora Coleman Senior Center, where you can mingle with other couples on the deck before you go for a refreshing dive.
Sports
Consider joining a sports team together to strengthen your bond and your bodies. Visit the Clark County Sports Network, and join a softball, volleyball, basketball or flag football team together. If you are new to sports, maybe you will want to take tennis lessons as a duo. For a casual date, head over to the Bat-R-Up Las Vegas Batting Cages for both baseball and softball pitching machines.
Hiking
Going for a hike will give you two some time alone to explore the flora and fauna of the region, all while getting some exercise. For a shorter 2.5-mile journey, visit the Calico Tanks, where you will find a fairly easy-to-walk trail, except for the moderate amount of rocks to climb. Go to the Charleston peak via the South Loop Trail for a 17-mile hike that will bring you up to the highest summit located in southern Nevada.
Dining
A dinner date night does not have to be boring or full of fatty and greasy foods. Las Vegas has plenty of health food options to help with that. Try some healthy Asian dishes at Long Life Vege Restaurant. Eat some fresh shellfish at Oyster Bar or the Big Sur Oyster Bar. Sample new foods that you have not had before, and try Persian At Habib's, Indian at India Palace and Himalayan at Himalayan Cuisine.
